எம்.ஓ.பி., வைஷ்ணவா மகளிர் கல்லூரி சார்பில்'வாஸ்போ' மகளிர் கல்லூரி விளையாட்டு போட்டிகள் M.O.P. Vaishnav College for Women conducted VASPO 2019-The SRM Institute of Science and Technology clinched the Adityan Overall Rolling Trophy.


SRM Institute of Science and Technology won the overall title and clinched the Adityan Rolling Trophy at VASPO, organised by MOP Vaishnav College. Ashok Kumar Mundhra, DG Vaishnav College secretary, Olympian Mohammed Riaz and volley player Minimol Abraham gave away the awards.

Inter collegiate tournament conducted by MOPVC

M.O.P. Vaishnav College for Women conducted a two-day inter collegiate tournament, VASPO 2019 for girls, participating from 20 colleges across the city on 5th and 6th of February, 2019. VASPO 2019 is the 12th edition of the tournament. The two day long tournament has come to be widely recognized for sporting excellence, and is keenly followed by sports enthusiasts around the world.

The SRM Institute of Science and Technology clinched the Adityan Overall Rolling Trophy.

The valedictory function was held on the evening of February 6, 2019 at D.G. Vaishnav College, which was presided over by Mr. ASHOK KUMAR MUNDHRA, Secretary of D.G. Vaishnav College, who was the Chief Guest of the day. The Guests of Honour were Mr. MOHAMMED RIAZ, Olympian and Arjun Awardee, and Ms. MINIMOL ABRAHAM, International Volleyball Champion.

Miss Minimol had a message for the participants to take home, which was “Keep working hard no matter what comes ahead. Of the people around you, 90 percent will try to demotivate you and pull you down. But listen to the 10 percent who are there by your side to support you. You will get what you want, if not today, tomorrow. ”

“Sport speaks good habits, confidence and discipline. They make players into community leaders and teach them how to strive for a goal, handle mistakes and growth opportunities. VASPO is one such event that provides youngsters a great platform to realise their potential,” said Mr. Ashok Kumar Mundhra, the Chief Guest and the Secretary of D.G. Vaishnav College.

 நுங்கம்பாக்கம், எம்.ஓ.பி., வைஷ்ணவா மகளிர் கல்லூரி சார்பில், சென்னையில் ஆண்டுதோறும், கல்லாரிகளுக்கு இடையில், அகில இந்திய அளவில், விளையாட்டு போட்டிகள் நடத்தப்படுகின்றன.இந்த ஆண்டுக்கான, 'வாஸ்போ' மகளிர் கல்லூரி விளையாட்டு போட்டிகள், அரும்பாக்கம், டி.ஜி., வைஷ்ணவா கல்லுாரியில் நடந்து வருகின்றன. பல்வேறு மாநிலங்களைச் சேர்ந்த, 20 அணிகள் பங்கேற்றுள்ளன.வாலிபால், கூடைப்பந்து, பேட்மின்டன், டேபிள் டென்னிஸ், செஸ் உள்ளிட்ட போட்டிகள் நடக்கின்றன. நேற்று காலையுடன், 'நாக் - அவுட்' போட்டிகள் நிறைவடைந்தன. அதில், கூடைப்பந்தில், டபுள்யூ.சி.சி., - இந்துஸ்தான், எஸ்.ஆர்.எம்., - எஸ்.எஸ்.என்., ஜெயின் அணிகள், 'லீக்' போட்டிக்கு தகுதி பெற்றுள்ளன.வாலிபாலில், இந்துஸ்தான், செயின்ட் ஜோசப், எத்திராஜ், எஸ்.ஆர்.எம்., அணிகள், பால் பேட்மின்டனில், எத்திராஜ், எஸ்.ஆர்.எம்., செயின்ட் ஜோசப் அணிகள், டேபிள் டென்னிசில், எஸ்.ஆர்.எம்., எத்திராஜ், அண்ணா ஆதர்ஷ் அணிகளும், 'லீக்' போட்டிக்கு தகுதி பெற்றுள்ளன.போட்டிகள் இன்றுடன் நிறைவு பெறுகின்றன.
